All new and returning players interested in playing for Melrose United this coming Spring should attend our Spring 2020 Tryouts. The coaching staff will be evaluating each player’s technical and tactical skills via drills and scrimmages to ensure we are properly placed for the Fall NSL Season. All tryouts will be held at the Pine Banks Turf Rugby Field.

All teams are based on a players birth year.

We planning to have five boys teams (U10, U12, U14, U16, U19) and two girls teams (U16, U19) this spring.

2006 and 2007 – 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rugby Field at Pine Banks
2001 through 2005 – 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rugby Field at Pine Banks

Wednesday November 20
Girls Born In
2001 through 2006 – 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rugby Field at Pine Banks

Thursday November 21 
Boys Born In
2010 and younger – 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rugby Field at Pine Banks

There is no charge to attend Melrose United tryouts.

Our first games of the fall season are this Sunday September 8th.  The Boys U12 team opens on the road at 9:00 AM vs. Juventus Academy Boston while the Boys U15 team opens at home vs. Sevilla FC at noon.

We planning to field at least three boys teams teams this fall.

Melrose United players are placed on a team based primarily on their birth year. Other factors that can influence a player’s placement include satisfying league minimum roster sizes, player ability and positional need.
