The city has opened the fields for the spring. Please assume the fields will remain open plan on attending your practices and games as scheduled.
If the fields are closed for any reason you will be notified by email and we will post an update to this website and to our Facebook page.

Due to the bad weather last weekend we have made a couple of adjustments to the tryout schedule for Sunday January 27th.
Sunday’s tryouts will be held in the MVMMS gym. Players should plan to attend the time slot based on their birth year. Here is the schedule for Sunday afternoon/evening.
Boys – Birth years 2000, 2001 and 2002 – 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Boys – Birth years 2003 and 2004 – 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Girls Callbacks – 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Spring 2019 Try Out Schedule
Tryouts for all Melrose United spring teams (boys and girls) competing in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL) will begin on January 6, 2019. All tryouts will be held in the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Gym.

It was a Happy Mother’s Day for the four Melrose United teams in action yesterday. All four teams with Mother’s Day games were able to pull out victories.
The Boys U12s started the day off with a 4 – 2 win over DFC on the East Side Knoll and moved to 5-0-0 on the season. The U12s will play for the Club North section title at next week’s game vs. FSC North.
The Boys U19s kept the momentum going with a 3 – 0 win over Nor’easter FC on the West Side Knoll to keep their undefeated season going. They moved to 5-0-1 for the spring and can capture the U19 Premier Division title with a win vs. Sudbury Academy in their final game.
A solid 2 – 1 win over Mutiny FC by the Boys U16s closed out the action on the West Side Knoll. The U16s improved to 2-3-0 on the season with their second consecutive victory after three one goal losses to open the season. With two games still remaining the U16 are looking to continue their strong play and move up the U16 Premier Division table.
The Boys U14s finished out United’s first sweep and second consecutive undefeated week of the season with a 1 – 0 away win over Strikers United. The U14s moved to 3-1-0 on the season. With three games remaining, they are still in the mix for the U14 Club Division title.

Melrose United completed their first undefeated weekend of the spring with four wins and a draw on May 6th.
The Boys U12s kicked things off at 10:15 AM with an exciting 3 – 2 home win over FSC North.
At 1:00 PM the Boys U16s started the action on West Side Knoll with a 2 – 0 victory over Explosion FC while the Girls U18 team captured their first win of the season with a big 3 – 0 win over St. Michaels Youth at Tabor Academy.
At 2:45 PM on the West Side Knoll the the Boys U19s drew 2 – 2 with JSSA in a hard fought back and forth contest. To close out a great day for Melrose United the Boys U14 squad posted our third clean sheet of the day with a 1 – 0 home win over Nor’easter FC.
The city has closed East and West Side Knoll today, therefore Boys U10, Boys U14, Boys U19 and Girls U18 practices are canceled.

All grass fields in Melrose are closed for Thursday April 19th. Thursday practices (Boys U10, Boys U14, Boys U19 and Girls U18 are canceled. Practices will resume on Friday April 20th at their regularly scheduled times as long as the city re-opens the fields.
The city has closed all grass fields for Monday April 16th and Tuesday April 17th, therefore all Monday and Tuesday practices are canceled. Practices will resume on Thursday April 19th at their regularly scheduled times.
