April 8th Schedule Conflict – U14 Indoor Playoffs / U13 Outdoor Practice

Unfortunately, this Monday April 8th we have a conflict between the U14 Indoor Playoffs in Danvers and U13 outdoor practice at the Knoll.  The 20 minute playoff games are scheduled for 4:22 PM and 4:44 PM and practice is scheduled for 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

We will be practicing at the Knoll as scheduled at 4:00 PM and we will not be playing in Danvers.  All U14 Indoor players are encouraged to come to practice.

Spring MAPLE Season Opens on 4/7

The U11 and U13 teams each open their Spring MAPLE season with away games this Sunday April 7th.  The U11s first game is at 9:00 AM against Abbey Villa SC on Lancaster Field 5B in Lancaster.  The U13s open their season with a 4:30 game against Real Boston SA at Teal Field in Quincy.  Be on the lookout for an email with more details.

Outdoor Practice Begins on April 8th

The Melrose grass fields are currently closed, but the fields are scheduled to open on Monday April 8th.  Therefore, we will begin outdoor practices this coming Monday at the Knoll.  The practice schedule is listed in the table below.

Team Practice 
U10 Monday and Wednesday 3:00-4:30 at the Knoll
U11 8 v 8 Monday and Wednesday 3:00-4:30 at the Knoll
U13 11 v 11 Monday and Wednesday 4:00-5:30 at the Knoll

Any changes to the practice schedule will be posted to the web site as soon as they are known.

Indoor U14 Playoff Schedule is Available

The Indoor U14 playoff schedule is now available on http://MelroseUnited.com.  Please visit the U14 Indoor team page to see the updated schedule.

Our first game starts at 4:22 PM on Monday April 8th.

The U14s playoffs will be a round robin format with two pools of three teams each.  We are in Pool A. Games will be 20 minutes with a 2 minute warm-up. The top two teams in each pool advance to the Semi Finals based on most points, head to head, least goals against, most goals for, most wins, three player shootout.  Semi Final winners advance to the Finals.
