MAPLE requires that we complete our team submissions by Friday, July 19th. Please register by Thursday, July 18th so that we can ensure our teams are placed in the proper age groups and divisions. Sorry for the short notice.

Open Practices
Over the next couple weeks, all Melrose boys soccer players eligible for U14 through U10 this fall (born between August 1, 1999 and July 31, 2005) are invited to join Melrose United at the East Side Knoll for open practices on May 29, June 3, June 5 and June 10. Please come and meet the club coaching staff, participate in practice and get to know the current club players.

Melrose United Showcase
On June 12 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, we will be holding our season ending Showcase at the East Side Knoll. All returning and new players interested in playing for Melrose United this fall should attend our Showcase. The coaching staff will be evaluating each player’s overall technical and tactical skill levels via drills and scrimmages to ensure we are properly placed for the fall MAPLE season.
Due to poor field conditions and expected thunderstorms, today’s practice is canceled.

During April vacation week, Coach Stoker will be conducting the U10/U11 and U13 practice sessions at their regularly scheduled times.
U10s & U11s – Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30
U13 – Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30
The U11 and U13 teams each open their Spring MAPLE season with away games this Sunday April 7th. The U11s first game is at 9:00 AM against Abbey Villa SC on Lancaster Field 5B in Lancaster. The U13s open their season with a 4:30 game against Real Boston SA at Teal Field in Quincy. Be on the lookout for an email with more details.

Melrose United is planning to enter three teams in the Massachusetts Premier League this spring. We are intend to field U11 (8 v 8), U12 (8 v 8) and U13 (11 v 11) teams and need to make sure that we have enough players to fill all three teams.
We will also be introducing a U10 Developmental Team coached by Dean Serino. This team will not be competitive, but may have some pick-up games and/or play in a tournament or two if there is enough interest.
